Richmond Security (formerly Richmond Lock and Safe) has been serving Richmond's security needs since 1976. From humble beginnings, we're now the largest physical security provider and full service locksmith in the Richmond area. Our headquarters and showroom are located in Richmond's Southside and our second office is located in the West End. We serve the health care, manufacturing, education, retail, and residential markets.

In addition to highly trained technicians and customer service professionals, we offer:

Management Team

Stephen H. Wilkinson — President

Stephen H. Wilkinson has been President and Owner of Richmond Security, Inc. since January of 2007, having previously served as Operations Manager since November, 2004.

Since stepping into the security industry in 1996, Stephen has gained wide exposure to a cross section of product lines, building the foundation for his current role with Richmond Security. Stephen's security industry experience began at Medeco Security Locks in Salem, VA. A top sales and Medeco Business Development facilitator, he was honored with the Medeco 1997 Salesperson of the Year Award. He has also been employed by Best Access Systems and Stanley Security Solutions, both mechanical and electronic access control integrators, and H.C.I. Craftsman, a contract hardware organization.

Originally from Jackson, MS, Stephen attended the University of Mississippi and later served in the United States Navy for 5 years. Upon returning to Mississippi, Stephen completed his undergraduate degree with a BSBA in Accounting from Mississippi College.

Stephen and wife Stephanie are active members of West End Presbyterian Church.
