Deadbolt Locks

A deadbolt is a lock bolt having no spring action. The deadbolt is held in both the retracted and projected positions to prevent the bolt from sliding freely. This action provides greater security since the bolt must be operated by a thumbturn or key. Lock functions with deadbolts offer the greatest security.
