High Security Locks

Medeco High Security Locks are quite different from those sold in most retail stores. They provide better physical security and provide ways to keep others from making unauthorized copies of your keys without your permission.

They incorporate a unique, patented technology to virtually eliminate the risk of entry by picking, drilling or otherwise manipulating the lock. Additionally, the keys can only be made at an authorized Medeco dealer and only with the proper identification, giving you complete control over who gets a copy of your keys.

• Pick and Drill Resistance
  Medeco cylinders have hardened steel inserts strategically placed along the lock face and in the core that resist drilling attacks. Medeco keys are milled with a side-cut that aligns to the unique slider mechanism as the key is inserted into the cylinder. The slider must be engaged with the proper key to allow the cylinder to operate.

• Patented Key Control
  Medeco keys are produced with unique, multiple angles. These angles align with the lock’s tumbler picks which must be simultaneously elevated and rotated before the lock cylinder will operate. It is virtually impossible for someone to duplicate a Medeco key without proper authorization. Only Medeco Authorized Locksmiths are equipped with the proprietary equipment needed to cut these keys.
